Our apprenticeship program
Are you interested in a machining career but have no experience?
Specialty Machine & CNC has an opportunity for you. We’re enrolled with the state of Indiana in the Journeyman Toolmaker Program, and we offer an apprenticeship program through the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA).
We pay for 100% of your schooling and apprenticeship.
If you have an interest in CNC machining and manufacturing and a willingness to learn, we invite you to apply for the program. No prior knowledge of machining is required, and Specialty Machine & CNC pays for 100% of your schooling and apprenticeship.
What does the apprenticeship program involve?
The apprenticeship program involves six semesters of schooling through the NTMA and 8,000 hours of working experience. Once you’ve successfully completed both, you’ll be certified as a Journeyman Toolmaker. As a toolmaker, you’ll receive steady work and excellent compensation: for journeyman workers, the salary ranges from $25–$38 per hour.
